Social Development
The Ucluelet First Nation Social Assistance program is delivered to on-reserve clients and is administered using the Nuu-chah-nulth Community and Human Services Social Assistance Policy & Procedure Manual. Social Development
“The programs under the Community and Human Services umbrella are governed by policy and procedures that respect the need to act on our commitment to making self-determination a reality in our communities; but at the same time they have been designed to incorporate basic social assistance principles and practices and clearly assert the eligibility and responsibilities of people who are our clients. Only through such an approach is it possible to ensure that our programs are being implemented properly, that our objectives such as a nation are being advanced, and that the interests of people are respected and protected.
