Helping Our Community Cats
ʔuḥʔaƛḥasuu Citizens and Residents of hitac̓u,
As a part of our ongoing effort to support a healthy and balanced community cat population, Kirsten from Foster Kritters Feral Cat Rescue will be in hitac̓u on Saturday, April 26, 2025, to safely and humanely trap feral cats so they can receive the care they need.
Feral cats often live rough lives outdoors, including exposure to rough weather and the risk of illness or injury. The safe and humane trapping initiative allows us to provide care to help prevent the spread of illness, reduce unwanted litters, improve quality of life and overall well-being of the community cats.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to the Lands and Resources Department by emailing animalservices@ufn.ca. Thank you for supporting compassion and care for our four-legged neighbours.
Sincerely,
Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ Government – Ucluelet First Nation
